| Spotlight | Charitable Ties
Thanks to all our generous clients and corporate sponsors who helped Dr. Bishop and Dr. LoPiccolo to raise over $1400 for the Hinsdale Humane Society’s 22nd Annual Pet Walk. In addition to being pet walk participants and volunteers, the doctors at WillowGrove Pet Clinic were proud to be a sponsor of the event.
The Hinsdale Humane Society is a nonprofit organization that relies heavily on this fundraising event. Without pet walk pledges and other private donations, they would be unable to offer food, shelter, and adoption services to the hundreds of animals that come through their doors each year.
The Pet Walk is just one of the many ways we support this exceptional organization. On a weekly basis, Dr. Bishop volunteers at the shelter by providing physical exams and developing therapeutic plans for all the ill animals in the shelter population and foster homes. In addition to Dr. Bishop offering his time and talent at the shelter, both doctors also perform surgeries, administer vaccines, and dispense needed medications for shelter animals at our clinic. Dr. LoPiccolo has recently joined the Hinsdale Humane Society’s Board of Directors; and serves on their Operations and Development committees.

Top Vets for Your Pets
WillowGrove Pet Clinic received recognition in the Summer/Fall 2008 issue of Chicago Consumer’s CHECKBOOK Magazine as one of the Top Vets for Your Pets in Dupage County. We received the CHECKBOOK’s top rating for quality when compared to 220 Chicago area veterinarians, for scoring highest on a system they devised to evaluate the veterinary service field.
CHECKBOOK magazine surveyed Chicago CHECKBOOK and Consumer Reports subscribers and asked them to rate the vets they had used on variable aspects of care and service. 82% of our practice’s customers surveyed rated us as “superior” for apparent competence and thoroughness, and giving prevention and self-help advice. More than 90% of customers surveyed rated us as “superior” for arranging to see you quickly, giving helpful advice by phone, maintaining a pleasant office and staff, and spending enough time with you. 100% of our practice’s customers surveyed rated us as “superior” for listening to you, keeping down waiting time, and overall care and advice.
